Questionable Taste
Posted by
matilda deathstar
I suspect that if I was ever on Project Runway, Nina would question my penchant for prints that look like they could be slipcovers on a sofa in a Miami retirement home. But I can't help it, I am drawn to prints like other people are drawn to simple black pants or pearls.

Post Election Comfort
Posted by
matilda deathstar
First, I am happy to report that I found the dress I had misplaced yesterday. Second, if you spend your election night eating cupcakes and drinking wine - I highly recommend wearing an over-sized tunic and pants with an elastic waist the next day.

Fashion forward? Old Fashioned?
Posted by
matilda deathstar
I purchased this shirt at a discount designer store in my town. A lot of what they sell seems geared towards older women (tweed suits for ladies who lunch) but they also occasionally bring in some fun trendy pieces. And then there is this shirt. Fashion forward? Old Fashioned? I am not sure but I like it anyway.

Black and White and Batman All Over
Posted by
matilda deathstar
If there has been any upside to skinning my knees, it might be the chance to wear all my fun Band-Aids. Today I used the last two Batman Band-Aids to distract from the fact that this dress may not be as flattering as I first thought.

Quest Complete .... For Now

I don't want to jinx things but I think I found the perfect plain black pumps I've been looking for. Although they have a fairly high heel they are surprisingly comfortable*. I cannot tell you how many Zappos reviews I had to read to find them, but I think it was worth it.

*I am going to a charity event after work and will be on my feet all night - so keep your fingers crossed these don't let me down!

Technical Problems
Posted by
matilda deathstar
In my continual battle against clutter, I ended up deleting the album with all my blog photos! I'm in the process of trying to recover and repost what I can but it will take some time. I blame the stress of this turn of events for why I thought pairing purple tights and a red skirt would work.

Don't Eat ALL the M&Ms
Posted by
matilda deathstar
Today's lesson, don't buy M&Ms on sale and think you can just eat a few. You* can't and the next day your pants will be too tight. Also when you go running your ass will flap behind you and slow you down.

Happiness Is a Warm Pair of Pants
Posted by

I got these pants at the super sale at J. Crew and I LOVE them. Although plaid capris are not my usual "look" these are so awesome I made an exception and I'm glad I did.
