Mad Attorney
Posted by

Today I am going to a seminar on foreclosure defense strategies (I live a very glamorous life). Although I usually use seminars as an excuse to dress down, I've noticed that many attorneys dress up for them. So in an effort to blend in, I threw on a skirt and heels. Although I am the only person in America who doesn't watch Mad Men, I know enough about the show to think that this outfit has a 60's vibe, which I really dig.

Too Much?

I found this dress in the back of my closet this weekend. I bought it for $7 at Target ages ago but it didn't fit properly. It is still a bit too snug (I hope the 5 minutes I spent trying to get into it this morning doesn't count as forbidden exercise) but I decided to wear it anyway. I had planned to wear a plain black blazer with it but at the last minute switched it to this one. Not sure if it is too much black and white - what say you?

Wear It 3/4/2011

Although you might not know it to see my outfits, I do own a full length mirror. It is rather magical in that I always look 10lbs less in it than I do in photos. However, it is also filthy which is why I did not shoot a photo of my much better looking reflection this morning.
I will spending most of the day in a training class (and driving!). Although I wanted to throw on sweatpants and a t-shirt, there will be some judges at the training and I did not want to be completely disrespectful. I also did not want to be uncomfortable. And yet I think I managed to do both. Go me.
I do not know what possessed me to tuck in my shirt this morning. The proportions work better but I also look lumpy. At least I'll be sitting for most of the day.
