Can't Blame the Duck
Posted by
matilda deathstar
The last time I wore this dress, I blamed the chest bunching on the duck shaped ice pack in my bra. It would seem, however, that I was too quick to blame the duck since the dress is still bunching oddly and there is nothing extra stuffed in my bra.

Make Your Own Coffee

I suspect I would be a very bad secretary. But I do loves me a secretary skirt. Especially a "vintage"* one like this baby from the Goodwill. The only downside is that I will not be able to eat anything today so that I can keep breathing. Considering I spent the last few days consuming nothing but birthday cake, fried food, and beer - this may be for the best.

* Considering I was probably in high school when this was made I hesitate to consider it vintage but I think technically most people would say it is.

Dress Code Violation
Posted by

If my office had a dress code, I am pretty sure this dress might violate it. I forgot that I had a client meeting and wore this because I am going out tonight. I have a blazer with me (and, if I lose 10lbs in the next hour, matching pants) so I will not completely shame my profession. One good thing about being a lawyer - the bar is pretty low.

Is the Dress Black or Are the Windows Painted?

Today marks the first day this week where I do not have to go to the doctor's office and I am celebrating by wearing a dress. I snagged this dress on super sale at J. Crew and I'm happy I did. Although I certainly have plenty of black dresses, I liked the military details and casual vibe of this one. Plus the long sleeves hide the bruises on my arms from all the bloodwork I've had.
Dress: J. Crew "Shutterbug" (let's ignore any irony in that given the poor photo quality)
Boots: Paladium
Cuff: Hayden Harnett "Ramone"
