Good Investment

For an impulse purchase, I have gotten a lot of wear out of this shirt.  Although it remains a bit big in the chest area - I cannot bring myself to get rid of it.   Examples of other ways I have worn this shirt.

Saved by the Bag

This weekend I spent a considerable amount of time listing a bunch of handbags for sale. As I was going through my piles of conspicuous consumption I found this lovely bag THAT I DON'T REMEMBER buying. Looking through my blog archives it appears I've owned the bag since June 2010 which would also seem to be the last time I carried it.

As I was taking photos this morning I could not seem to take one that did not make me look chubby and awkward. Just as I was about to give up, I thought I'd take one with the bag. Lo and behold, the bag's awesomeness made the whole outfit look better. Now I just need an excuse to carry it around the office all day.

Dressed for comfort and speed

As much as I love this shirt, I fear it may be just a wee bit too big (until showing your bra becomes the next big fashion trend). However it was the perfect thing to wear today because 1. the sleeves conceal and do not irritate the large lump on my arm from where I got the flu shot and 2. I can take it off easily which will come in handy for my doctor's visit later today. Similarly, these pants are a little big/stretched out but are also easy to pull on and off.

Wear It 3/4/2011

Although you might not know it to see my outfits, I do own a full length mirror. It is rather magical in that I always look 10lbs less in it than I do in photos. However, it is also filthy which is why I did not shoot a photo of my much better looking reflection this morning.

I will spending most of the day in a training class (and driving!). Although I wanted to throw on sweatpants and a t-shirt, there will be some judges at the training and I did not want to be completely disrespectful. I also did not want to be uncomfortable. And yet I think I managed to do both. Go me.

I do not know what possessed me to tuck in my shirt this morning. The proportions work better but I also look lumpy. At least I'll be sitting for most of the day.
