For almost 20 years I have thought that David Bowie was instructing me to put on my red shoes and undance the blues. Last week it occurred to me that perhaps he was instructing me to dance the blues. Which makes sense. A lot more sense than this post.

Last night I was browsing through the pages of a fashion magazine and started obsessing on selling my kidneys so I could buy a dress (or ten) from the Miu Miu Fall collection. Happily, before I could find a knife and perform some surgery, I remembered I had this dress in my closet. Although not as awesome as my designer obsessions, it is a very cute dress (especially since it now fits better than the last time I wore it).
Lesson - before you sell an organ or take out a second mortgage, take a look in your closet. Who knows what you will find.

I am having a very poor body image week and thought that this outfit would help. It didn't. But because it took me approximately forever to get this dress zipped up, I am stuck in it until mr. deathstar can release me from it this evening.

* why are so many of my shoes from a "girl" brand? One can only assume these shoes are not appropriate for children. Is it a hint that a 40 something woman should not buy them? Or am I supposed to buy them and feel youthful and girlish?
