Reflections

I have a magic mirror in my house. It makes me look 10 lbs thinner and a few years younger than I am. Sadly, whatever magical properties are contained in the mirror cannot be transferred to my camera lens. So it is often a shock when I see how I look in a photo because it differs from what I saw in the mirror.

Today both my mirror and my lens liked this outfit. Perhaps because it is more authentic to my style. Or maybe it is a trick of the light. Or maybe I'm wrong and you all will wonder why I chose to wear a plus sized muumuu over jeans and question my sartorial sanity.

Tank and belt: Old Navy
Blouse: ? via Goodwill
Jeans: Levis
Boots: Gap
Cuff: J. Crew

Love those kimono sleeves!! I collect yukata, and often wish they weren't so long so that I could wear them everyday to work.

The pattern is cute, too. I am getting up close and snuggly with brown myself. It's a good all-purpose color for those with fair skin (at least, that's my position this week ... we'll see if I get bored with it by next).

The look is good on you - the slim jeans and extra height from the boots balance out the drapey volume on top. Nice!
