Wear It 2/18/2011

Yesterday was a brutal day at work and, copious amounts of Valium and Ambien did not make much of a dent in my hamster wheel freak out last night. So today's outfit is the best I could so under the circumstances. Frankly, I'm just happy I remembered to put on pants.

I should probably ask Old Navy to sponsor this blog since 85% of my wardrobe* seems to come from them.

Top/Cardigan/Jeans - Old Navy
Boots - Naughty Monkey (old)

* Just in case you thought I was exaggerating about my brain mush - it took me four tries to spell this correctly.

Do you have jeans that you only tuck in to boots? I like the tucked-in boot thing, but all my jeans are bootcut at the bottom, and I can't get them tucked in neatly. Do you have tapered jeans that you only wear with boots? The thought of tapered jeans makes me nervous. Lately I've been doing cropped jeans (the kind with the big cuff) with boots, which at least shows off the boots.

I have 2 pairs of "skinny" jeans (not "jeggings") that are narrow enough to tuck into jeans. They also look okay (I think) with flats. I got the pair I'm wearing now for $7 at Old Navy.

If you have a sewing machine you can always convert an old pair of boot cut jeans into skinny ones but it might be easier to stalk the Old Navy sales or thrift stores :)

Yeah, maybe I should just look at Goodwill for a pair of jeans to tuck in to boots. (Old Navy pants don't work on me at ALL.)

I can't even imagine what would happen if I tried to taper them myself with a sewing machine. I'd probably lose a limb.
